As the threat becomes more widespread, some preventive guidelines should be taken to protect yourself from COVID-19.

Wash your hands

Yes, this is still the no. 1 way to prevent coronavirus. You should wash your hands often for at least 20 seconds with soap and water–or using hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol when soap and water aren't available. It's compulsory if you have been in a public place, or blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.

Stay home

The WHO, government, and healthcare workers are all advising people to stay home. Staying at home does not only helps you be safe but also you are saving others from spreading this virus. Especially if you're sick, stay home except to get medical care. Learn what to do if you are sick or if you do need to leave the house, follow some basic preventative measures.

Boost your immune system

As per many health workers and WHO, most cases are found on older people and children below 10 age. So, that means if you can boost your immune system, you can be able to fight against the disease. So, this is the time you have to focus on all the healthy habits with daily exercise and food choices that support your health. Also, staying hydrated, minimize consuming processed food and eating enough micro-nutrients is important.

Stay calm

Besides maintaining your physical health, you should also take care of your mental soundness. Do not stress out in this situation rather follow different preventive measures and subscribe to healthy habits. High stress can risk your immune system as well. If you're feeling too worried about COVID-19, follow these tips from a psychotherapist to keep your nerves calm.
